Wood primer | Tikkurila Valtti Primer

The colourless Valtti Primer protects wood and wooden exterior structures from water absorption. The primer slows the ingress of moisture into the wood and prevents mould from spreading. The product readily soaks deep into the wood fibres, providing good protection from water absorption and reducing the risk of cracks forming in the wood and paint.

Valtti Primer forms the initial protective coat on the wooden surface. The colourless primer doesn’t protect the wooden surface from exposure to sunlight. Hence the recommendation is to apply the final coat as soon as possible. Use Tikkurila outdoor woodstain or paint on top of Valtti Primer to ensure lasting protection of the wood.

Applicable to both sawn and planed wood, logs, thermally modified and impregnated wood.
