Sauna Bench Oil | Supi Sauna Care

The oil preserves the natural appearance of the wood and enhances its original colour. Suitable for untreated and previously oiled wooden sauna benches.

Protection for wooden sauna benches
Heat, moisture and frequent use can place considerable demands on wooden sauna benches. Tikkurila Supi Laudesuoja has been specially developed for the treatment and maintenance of wooden sauna benches.
This colourless protective oil is based on paraffin oil and penetrates deep into the wood. It helps make the surface more resistant to moisture and dirt, while also making the benches easier to keep clean. The treatment preserves the natural grain of the wood and may slightly deepen its natural colour.
Supi Laudesuoja can be used on both new, untreated sauna benches and previously oiled surfaces. Depending on the absorbency of the wood, the coverage is approximately 8–15 m² per litre.

Instructions for use
Make sure the sauna benches are clean and completely dry before treatment. If the benches are dirty, clean them first with a suitable cleaning product, such as Tikkurila Supi Saunapesu. Rinse the wood thoroughly and allow it to dry completely. Lightly sand the surface if necessary and remove all sanding dust.
Apply Supi Laudesuoja evenly using a brush or a clean, lint-free cloth and allow the oil to penetrate the wood. If the oil is absorbed immediately, the treatment can be repeated. Then heat the sauna and remove any excess oil that has not been absorbed into the wood with a clean cloth.
As the oil may deepen the natural colour of the wood, Tikkurila recommends testing the product on a small, inconspicuous area before treating the entire surface.
