The heating time depends on the size of the hot tub, the outdoor temperature, the type of wood, and the cover.
During operation, both the heater and the hot tub must be filled with water above the drain hose to ensure proper circulation. Failing to do so may damage the heater. The wood-burning stove has a double-walled construction. Inside the cavity are an inlet hose (bottom) and an outlet hose (top), through which the water flows automatically. Because warm water rises (convective action), the heated water circulates naturally through the rest of the tub. This means the hot tub with external heater is heated entirely by natural circulation, without a pump. As the heater is positioned outside the tub, the bathing space inside is maximized.
